Mr. Towne holds a Master’s of Educational Administration from the University of New Hampshire. Currently, Towne is the Principal of Fall Mountain Regional High School (Langdon, NH). The Fall Mountain School District is one of the partner districts involved with the Cheshire Career Center. Towne previously served as principal in the Franklin School District (Franklin, NH) and Associate Dean of Students at Pinkerton Academy (Derry, NH). Towne also held the position of CTE Director/Assistant Principal at Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH.
Prior to entering administration, Towne served as a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher in both Salem and Pittsfield, NH. As part of the final interview process, Mr. Towne met with staff and administration representing Keene High School and the Cheshire Career Center, as well as other CTE representatives. “Mr. Towne’s experience in career and technical education as both an educator and administrator will be of great benefit to the students and staff of the Cheshire Career Center,” said Superintendent Robert Malay. “I look forward to the leadership and vision Mr. Towne will bring to SAU 29 and the Cheshire Career Center.”
In this position, Mr. Towne will be responsible for directing the overall site operations, services, and staff. Towne will succeed Samantha Belcourt who had been in the position since 2020.

He brings a great depth of experience as an academic leader in particular with career and technical education,” said Keene High School Principal Dr. Cindy Gallagher. “He is going to be a great asset in furthering Cheshire Career Center’s growth while supporting the workforce development for the region.”
Upon learning of his selection, Mr. Towne stated, “I am very excited to lead the dedicated staff at the Cheshire Career Center and support our students as they explore the many pathways that are available to them through the career center programs. The Cheshire Career Center plays a major role in supporting the workforce development needs of the region and I look forward to collaborating with our business and community partners in innovative ways to continue growing our vibrant local economy.”
